One of the many local organisations enjoying a day out.

“On Monday members of the Wesley Guild, to the number of around forty, had a delightful picnic in St Leonard’s Forest.

“By brake, cycle or on foot the party journeyed to the verdant and glistening glades, and indulged in various forms of recreation.

“‘The Woodlands’ was the rendezvous for a capital tea.

“Messrs E.F. Lawrence and P.T. Martin made all the arrangements.”
