The Electric Theatre must have been quite an impressive building in its time.

“Important alterations at the Electric Theatre in the Carfax are now nearly completed and have certainly ‘caught on’ judging by the crowded attendance on Thursday night.

“The chief addition is a balcony (reserved), providing accommodation for about seventy more persons than has been the case hitherto, making this theatre the largest and most up to date place of amusement in the district.

“It is a great improvement, upon which the proprietors are to be heartily congratulated. The alterations were designed and carried out by Mr W.F. Pannett, Builder of Barrington Road [Horsham].”
