As experienced personnel were required around the country it was a case of moving people around to fill the gaps.

“Policemen return to the army. Sergeants Curtis and Wareham and Acting-Sergeants Backlog and Trevor, of Horsham, have left for Chichester for service as instructiors to assist in the drilling of Lord Kitchener’s Army.

“Acting-Sergeants Sturtevant and Walder of Midhurst take on duty at Horsham.”
