World War I daily bulletin from the Horsham district

An excerpt from a Horsham Football Club report with one of the founder members of the Sussex County League in 1920.

“In bright and fine weather yesterday a big holiday crowd invaded the Queen Street ground at Horsham for the return match with Vernon Athletic.

“The turf was in good order, and with both sides well represented there was a good match in prospect..

“Tbe visitors made the journey by motor, and as their colours (white and green) are in a measure to the Lincoln green and amber sported by Horsham the homesters played in white.”
