High drama in Horsham with a hero from the local cinema.

“On Wednesday morning a horse attached to a cart belonging to Mr Lynne dashed down West Street and what might have ended in serious consequences was prevented by Mr Bingham of the Electric Theatre.

“This gentleman seized the reins and went about 20 yards before bringing the horse and cart to a standstill.

“Miss Moses of Itchingfield had previously made a plucky attempt to stop the horse.

“Although there were few people about at the time the road just beyond where the cart was stopped was full of traffic.”
