Two reports today, first mentioning the famous Scottish inernational entertainer Harry Lauder.

“Harry Lauder is unable to visit Horsham, but Jock Walker, his late deputy in pantomime, is coming on Wednesday.”

This second one reveals a generous member of an audience.

“So delighted was Mr T Wharrie, of Warnham Lodge, with the performance of the String Band, at its recent concert that he handed to the Conductor (Mr Arthur Charman) a sufficient sum to provide a full set of tubular bells and four new clarinets.”
