In this, the latest in our daily news reports taken from the West Sussex County Times of 1914, we turn our attention to Broadbridge Heath.

“A fancy dress ball was held at Broadbridge Heath Village Hall on Wednesday.

“The room was decorated with flags etc and presented a pleasing spectacle where all were assembled.

“Dancing commenced at 8pm and kept going until an early hour next morning.”
