An interesting reference to Brighton Road Baptist Church which, of course, is still going strong, having started back in 1894.

“On Wednesday afternoon at Hill’s Cemetery [Horsham] the remains of Mrs Charles Baverstock, of 7, Worthing Road, were laid to rest.

“The deceased, who was in her 75th year, passed awy on the morning of the 14th of February, being the 51st anniversary of her marriage day.

“For 44 years she had resided in Horsham, and was with her husband, one of the earliest members of the Brighton Road Baptist Church.”
