Some excitement on market day in Horsham.

“Both excitement and amusement were created in Park Street soon after 1.30 on Wednesday by the call of a somewhat excited bullock at the ‘Bell Inn’.

“Apparently it was refused liquor and broke some gas globes in its exasperation.

“The animal had been purchased at that morning’s market by Mr H. Walker, of East Street, and was being escorted down Park Street when it selected the open doorway and mounted the steps.

“The ejectment of the intruder was skillfully effected by Mr A. Brazier.”
