Some good gifts for attending school in 1914.

“For seven years Henry Selby attended Broadbridge Heath School, without being once absent or late.

“John Musgrave and William Nightingale have received watches for five years’ perfect attendance, and Doris Belton, who has an unbroken record for three years, has been award a brooch.

“Upwards of 25 books were also distributed by Mrs Vernon on Friday afternoon, when the children recited and took part in musical plays.”
