An attack by a bullock near Billingshurst.

“Everdshed v Whitewood was a claim by Edward Evershed, platelayer, on behalf of his son Arthur Frederick Evershed of Andrews Hill, Billingshurt, against P F Whitewood, butcher of Coolham.

“Plaintiff said that on November 19th his son was riding a bicycle from Billingshurst to Shipley when Mr Whitewood’s bullock, a ferocious animal, came for him and damaged the bicycle.

“The boy was shook up very much and had to be brought home in a carriage.”
