THE STEYNING Bookshop is ‘really excited’ to be hosting a visit from writer, horticulturist and garden designer Jane Fearnley-Whittingstall.
River Cottage Hugh’s mum Jane is also very well-known for her inspirational books about family life, including ‘The Good Granny Companion’, ‘The Good Granny Cookbook’ and now the little gift book ‘The Pocket Book of Good Grannies’.
Sara Bowers, of the Steyning Bookshop, said: “We are so pleased that she has managed to fit in a visit for The Steyning Bookshop this autumn in between speaking at festivals, judging chutney competitions and, of course, minding her own grandchildren.”
The event is to be held at The Sussex Produce Company, in the High Street, Sara added as ‘there is a bit more space than in the bookshop’.
She said: “I have supplied their kitchen with a copy of The Good Granny Cookbook so there should be some delicious cake on the night.”
The talk is tomorrow (Thursday November 17) at 7.30pm and tickets are £5.
