Come And Sing With Bob Chilcott offers a choral day as part of this year’s Petworth Festival.

The venue is St Mary’s Church, Petworth on Saturday, July 23, starting at 11.30am and ending at 5pm.

Festival spokeswoman Mary Hamilton said: “Bob Chilcott is one of the world’s premier composers and choral conductors in Britain today. A former Kings’ Singer, he has worked tirelessly over the past 13 years as a full time composer and choral conductor with over 125 pieces published by Oxford University Press.

“Since 2002 Bob has been principal guest conductor of the BBC Singers and has conducted many other distinguished choirs. Join Bob for a day working on his beautiful Requiem, a wonderful representation of his highly accessible repertoire. Scores will be available on the day.

“Bob is joined by tenor Cameron Richardson Eames, soprano Milly Forrest and organist

Matthew Cooke.”

“With a repertoire that encompasses Ockeghem to Ferneyhough, and Tallis to Xenakis and recently selected as one of the featured performers in the 2012 Cultural Olympiad, Exaudi’s visit to Petworth is sure to be a highlight of the Festival’s central weekend,” Mary said.
