AFTER 35 years of providing a pre-school for children with special needs, the Causeway Opportunity Playgroup in Hills Farm Lane, Horsham, closes this week.

There is a farewell party being held at the playgroup on Saturday July 19 from 12 noon until 7pm and anyone with any connection to the playgroup either past or present will be very welcome.

I would like to thank any of your readers who have contributed to the playgroup over the years, whether by making a donation, taking part in a fund raising event, or by freely giving their time as a volunteer helper or committee member.

I would especially like to thank the members of the present committee, of which I have been fortunate to be chair for the last seven months, for all their help and hard work, and for staying positive right to the very last!

JERRY BRADFORD
Chair, Causeway Opportunity Playgroup
Hills Farm Lane, Horsham

Today's Vote

The idea of a separate Horsham Town Council has created much debate recently. Do you think:
Horsham should have its own town council.
The current system of neighbourhood councils should remain
Not interested in who looks after the town.
