I PASS the Shelley Fountain in the Bishopric, Horsham, every day.
It is a complete eyesore – litter and food stains all around it and the sphere gathering moss now.

It needs constant maintenance. Even before this final breakdown, there were vans around it most weeks.

If the 'Universe' part and surrounding small spheres were replaced by a single spurt of water surrounded by drought-resistant planting, it would look quite dramatic and save an awful lot of council tax!

What do other readers think?
