Living in London and eating the same thing in chains really takes a toll. My husband and i always make time to drive down to Horsham to our favorite place, Silver Wok, each time we dine here we are surprised at the freshness of the food. My husbands favourite is Drunken noodles these are to die for,the flavours are stunning. I always go for the seafood in chillie oil, the seafood is fresh and exciting. i love it.
Service is calm and professional and we never get ushered out the door like we would in London. the waitresses are attentive and always have a great smile to welcome us.
We always leave with a take away and it never sees us through to the following day!!!!!

I recommend Silver Wok to everyone i know...... its amazing,, you will have to try it for yourselves!!!

I took the family to Silver Wok recently and I was very glad that I did!!! Seafood in chilli oil and drunken noodles I could eat every day of the week. Delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant, they do party bookings so will be booking work Christmas party there.

Having looked forward to a meal out my partner decided on a thai meal, so we decided on dining in at the silver wok. Very impressed with the attentive service, the food was reasonably priced with such high quality, well laid out food.

Very pleasant surprise
I havent been to this place as it was the st Leonards pub.
My friends had a function there, I went reluctantly, but what a surprise!!
No more idiots in the place and the food was delicious.
Certainly would recommend a visit.

POSSIBLY THE BEST KEPT SECRET IN WEST SUSSEX,,,,,,,,we had the pleasure of dining here over the weekend and have to admit it was fantastic, from the moment we entered the premises where we were greeted by the manager who is irish which was our first surprise, he led us to our table armed with the food and drinks menus and persuaded us to try a bottle of the house red as he overheard one of our party asking about the wine, we had a beautiful argentinian malbec and had a set meal for the 6 of us which was beautiful, the floor staff who are all oriental and extremely polite were excellent and the manager who was a great host and salesman as he persuaded us to come on sunday for non other then a trad english carvery which i found strange but because he sold it so well to us we came and low and behold there was the manager ecked out in his chef whites carving the meat,
the meat was fantastic and the service top class, the manager/chef was a treat to observe as he personely approached each table to make sure all was well with the food, he was graceful enough to explain to everyone that he was not responsible for the beautiful food but only carves the meats as the kitchen is so busy producing food he does it to take the pressure off,

overall the experience of the thai/chinese food and the irish manager was a pleasure to have,
we will be back

Both my husband and I like this restaurant better than any other in Horsham! Fabulous food, made authentically, and excellent friendly service! We have never been let down! Also, we find the food to be excellent value for money.

This has to be my favourite chinese/thai restaurant in Horsham.

The food is always fantastic. Delicious homemade and created from scratch chinese/thai food.

I had the delight of trying the chef's special of duck in honey and black bean sauce, and I've never had anything quite like it. We also enjoyed beef in ginger and spring onion, and chicken and cashew nute stir fry. My father who is a stubborn food critic said that it is the best oriental food he's ever had, and normally about half way through the meal he gets bored, but he said that food was just so lovely that he was continuously looking forward to the next mouthful!

The staff are friendly, food is great, and we loved every minute of it! The decor is little to be desired, however looks are deceiving I have to say The Silver Wok came up trumps again!! .

We've avoided this restaurant since it reopened a few years ago in its latest guise of a thai/chinese, because from the main road it looks rough, and in the past when it was a pub it had a dubious reputation. However looking to go somewhere different to eat this week, I had a trawl on the net for ideas and thought I'd see if I could find any reviews of the Silver Wok. I could only find the one above, but fancied the look of the menu on its website, so last night we decided to drive down and take a better look. We found the place to be full and buzzing, and actually far more attractive from the side road than from the main road. It still has a rather dull (and sour smelling) bar with pool table on the main road side which is what gives the poor impression, but the reception to the restaurant is attractive, warm and welcoming with modern oriental decor - totally different. We had to wait 10mins for a table to become free but enjoyed drinks on the reception sofa (shunning the almost empty bar) whilst we waited and perused the menu. Once seated, the thai waitresses were helpful and attentive and after a large bowl of spicy prawn crackers we shared starters of chicken satay and salt and pepper prawns, followed by excellent whole thai fish dishes each (chilli fish and tamarind fish) with a lovely special fried rice. Along with 2 glasses of wine and 2 beers, the bill came to £60 which we thought was reasonable.
Just wish we had tried the place before. We felt that they should redecorate and put ambiant lighting in the bar area in the same style as the reception to make a cosy cocktail/wine bar alongside the restaurant - its obviously not a popular hang out as it is, given no one was in there even on a Saturday eve at 8pm, and it would make it far more attractive to passing trade!

The first time I went here I got a take away, and was so impressed I went back to eat in the restaurant a couple of weeks later. There is a nice mix of Thai and Chinese food, and the staff were pleasant and friendly, and the restaurant is nicely laid out.
