LOXWOOD residents raised a glass or two at North Hall on Friday, raising £664.
Nearly 70 wine-tasters turned up to a special evening, with proceeds going towards refurbishing the hall.
With Taurus Wines of Bramley providing food and wine, the evening was hailed as a great success.
Jean Spira, chairman of the fundraising committee, said: "We are really thrilled with the way the fundraising is going.
"There are only five of us and everyone has been working so hard to provide a wide range of events for the community and for everyone to enjoy."
Other fundraising events will include Happy Landings Carriage Riding on April 10 and an 'Afternoon with Jonathan Pratt', of BBC's Bargain Hunt of Bellman's Auctioneers, on Wednesday May 12, with the opportunity to bring your own antiques for inspection by the expert.
There will also be a Golf Day at Wildwood Golf Club on Thursday July 1 and Loxwood's 'Chelsea Flower Show' on Sunday July 18.
