SECOND-HAND bagpipes are proving elusive in Horsham's namesake in Australia.
News from 'down under' is that Horsham City Pipe Band has plenty of willing learner pipers, but the instruments are proving elusive.
Bagpipes can be expensive in Australia - anything from 1,000 to 10,000 Aus dollars.
However, there used to be far more pipe bands in the area in the past, so hopes are that people have them packed away ready to be brought out and used once more.
