THE DRAGON in Colgate will be calling last orders on Tuesday as the tenant landlord and his partner leave the premises for the final time.
The news, confirmed on Monday by brewers Hall and Woodhouse, has shocked both staff and locals alike.
However, Hall and Woodhouse this week said it was 'committed to reopening the pub as soon as we find the right business partner'.
Four people tend the bar and kitchen at the Dragon, all of whom are now looking for alternative employment just six weeks before Christmas.
