FANTASY author Julia Knight has won an award for her first novel.
The Horsham writer who started a novel as an 'antidote to daytime TV' when she was stuck at home has won an Epic Award in America for 'Ilfayne's Bane'.

"I haven't stopped bouncing around since I heard the news on Saturday," said Julia, of Barrington Road.

"It's a big step forward considering it's the first book I've written."

More than 20 novels were in the running with 'Ilfayne's Bane', published last year.
The novel has now been followed by a sequel in the Oathcursed series,

Love Is My Sin, now out as an e-book and due to be published in November.
