HORSHAM Lions Club would like to thank all the people of Horsham and Southwater who so kindly donated to us at Christmas at our various collections and events.
In particular I would like to thank the residents of the Cedar Drive area in Southwater who donated the magnificent sum of 496.58 to our Santa Claus collection on December 7.
This was the best result we have ever had and in the current economic climate was fantastic.
Part of the money collected has been used to provide Christmas food parcels for the needy in Horsham and the rest will be used for various good causes during the coming months.
Historically, 79 per cent of the money we raise has been spent in the Horsham area and the remainder has helped such things as disaster relief and restoring the sight of people in India.
