Happy New Year from Australia
I write to wish your staff and the folks of Horsham a happy New year.
I have lived in Australia for nearly 45 years and for the past 20 years at Currimundi on Queensland’s sunshine coast which is paradise, so am sending you a photo I took on December 23 of Currimundi Lake(temp 31c).
I last appeared in the County Times, I think, in 1997 when I was serving with Coast Guard Mooloolaba.
I have for the past three years read your newspaper since obtaining a computer. I am nearly 74 years so retired but undertake voluntary work.
I was born in Horsham(16 Nelson Road). At the age of 16 I joined the merchant navy and after leaving emigrated to Aussie in 1968.
