Concern over developments
I am a member of the recently convened NOWELD group in Henfield. Apart from the obvious reasons why so many folk are against this development [see report page 3] (infrastructure, lovely green field site et al), the people of Henfield are shocked at how the recent Manor Close development managed to get through. It appears that simply poor administrative timing by Horsham District Council allowed the Manor Close development to get its foot in the door.
The people of Henfield are now concerned that a similar method of entry could be gained for the West End Lane site even though it is even less of an ideal site for housing. The NOWELD group is growing by the day in numbers with the help of social media, but it appears we are at the mercy of Horsham District Council if they don’t get their act together.
