Budding artist of tomorrow visited Summers Place Auctions in Billinghurst to obtain inspiration for their own art portfolios.
The gardens were opened up especially for them just prior to the Autumn Sale on October 23 so that they could have a sneak preview of the 500 piece of important sculptors and art forms housed in the walled gardens and new gallery.
The boys and girls of Pennthorpe School, Rudgwick, were able to take inspiration from international artists works displayed and spent time after school hearing about how contemporary and antique art came to be formed.
‘We love enthusiasm for art and are delighted to be able to invite this group of talented student for a sneak preview of what has to be one of the best displays of 3 dimensional art you could hope to see. We have piece that were until recently displayed in the Olympic village as well as pieces from a private collection has just arrived from Italy,’ said James Rylands, Director of Summers Place Auctions.
