During Book Week celebrations at Arunside School in Horsham pupils and staff were fortunate to have the author David Fuller to share many reading activities with the children in key stage two.
His writing techniques and love of suspense were clearly demonstrated and inspired the children to try themselves.
The younger children enjoyed a visit from author, Alan Durant, and his renditions of stories and poems. These were used as stimulus for drama, reading and writing.
All of the children experienced different ways of making books during the week. Governors and parents have joined in the fun.
Mrs Lee, English leader said: “We have achieved our aim of raising the profile of reading through a variety of activities this week. Each child has gained from sharing good quality literature and meeting an author.”
