Buy a TV, a new sofa or the latest gadget and get it delivered before Christmas! Adverts and commercials have been selling us their idea of Christmas for months.

But Christmas is so much more than a piece of furniture or an item of technology that will soon need to be replaced by the next must have purchase. Yet for many, this is what Christmas has been reduced to.

The Bible reveals that God has always been reaching out to man. Then God sent Jesus to the world. The Bible expresses it like this. ‘Unto us a Child was born, unto us a Son is given and the government will be on His shoulder. He will be called Wonderful Counsellor, The mighty God, Prince of peace’. The real meaning of Christmas isn’t more stuff to fill our homes with. It’s about the gift and person of Jesus. The gift that God gave, Jesus, was the most precious gift and it cost him everything. The true Christmas message is about realising that, ‘unto us’ is referring to you.
