THE festive season has officially arrived in the streets of Hailsham.
Christmas lights were switched on at the war memorial by the Deputy Mayor, Cllr Jeff Bentley Astor, on Saturday .
The lights will bring a glow to the High Street and St Mary's Walk.
St Wilfrid's Hospice is holding its annual light up a life service at Vicarage Field this Sunday.

The service remembers people who have died by allowing loved ones to sponsor lights on the town's tree.

Names are also being recorded in a book of memories and sponsors are given a special acknowledgement card.
To sponsor a light call 01323 437426.
