THE SINCLAIR C5 - an object of ridicule or pure geek chic?
Karl Whittle, 41, of Herrick Close, Pound Hill is a self-confessed C5 enthusiast and an Observer reporter paid him a visit to find out what exactly it's about the battery operated trikes that have them such a cult following.

But Karl reckons his lean mean and environmentally green machines are the ideal way to get around town.

He said: "You can get two Chinese takeaways in the back of one of them – what more do you need?"
