A TEEN had to be freed by firefighters today (Tue) - after he got trapped in a phone box.
Officers say the door to the box, outside Somerfield in Dorsten Square, Bewbush, had been pushed in from the outside and wedged tight.

One engine from Crawley was sent out by operators to free the red-faced 15-year-old.

A spokesperson for West Sussex Fire and Rescue said: "It's been a quiet afternoon apart from one slightly amusing call earlier on. At 4pm we were called to rescue a boy trapped in a phone box.

"The 15-year-old was stuck inside the phone box.

"Once we were there it only took a few minutes to free the poor lad who'd been stuck there for a while I think.

"He was fine, a little embarrassed, but uninjured."
