HOSPITAL CAMPAIGN: One month to really make our voice heard

STAFF and hospital supporters still have a month until they discover whether St Richard's will lose many of its remaining services – including its children's ward and major surgery.
Health bosses will wait until June 7 before deciding whether Chichester or Worthing should be the location of the major general hospital.
It means supporters of both hospitals still have an agonising wait until they discover which hospital will lose its specialist services.
Its consultant-led maternity unit is also under threat and could be replaced with a midwife-led unit unable to cope with difficult and high-risk births.
All attention has turned to the location of the major general hospital, the home of the county's consultant-led maternity unit.
The Support St Richard's Campaign is urging Chichester residents to make their voices heard.
"It's time to step up the pressure and make sure the PCT knows we want to keep full A&E, full maternity and full children's services at St Richard's Hospital," said campaigner Abigail Rowe. "We must make sure our voice is heard loud and clear."
